Plot Summary

When fiftysomething Suzette loses her job as a bartender she decides to make a road trip to visit her old friend Vinnie who she hasn't seen since their days as groupies back in the day. On the way she meets Harry, a nervous writer who says he is going home to confront his father, then shows her his gun. Once they reach their destination Suzette finds that Vinnie is now Lavinia, a conservative housewife who is reluctant to reexperience the flower power of her youth, and Harry finds confrontation with himself rather than with his father.

IMDB User Comments

not what I expected
I thought this movie was going to be more of a comedy than anything else. But, it is definitely a drama with a few little laughs thrown in. As for the plot, not much happens. An old groupie, Suzette, goes back to see her friend, Vinnie, whom she used to party with to borrow money. Along the way she picks up Harry, a depressed writer. She finds that Vinnie has changed and is a conservative rich mom. She takes her out to a bar and helps Vinnie discover how boring her life is and she should live a little like they used to do when they were the Banger Sisters.

This movie seemed like it went on forever. It definitely needed to be 15 minutes shorter. But, I just didn't find the story very entertaining because not enough happens.

FINAL VERDICT: Don't let this movie mislead you. It isn't funny and not too entertaining. I wouldn't pay money to see it.
