He Said He'd Be Back!
[CONTAINS SPOILERS]

Imagine if you will a city filled with people and children playing happily in a playground, but in a blinding flash of light, every person and child in the city is dead. Nothing around but mangled metal and human skulls. Then come the machines. Some on land, others in the air but the worst of all were the Terminators, cyborg killers. Man-kind was close to being wiped out completely but one man, John Connor, had created a resistence and the machines tried sending a Terminator back to 1984 to kill John's mother so he won't be born. The Terminator failed so the machines will try again. The good guys sent a machine back to protect John. It's the T-800 that tried to assassinate him before. He arrives in 1994 Los Angeles. He acquires some clothes from a biker bar, so with his hot new leather threads and new wheels, he sets off to find John. In another part of town, another Terminator arrives. It was the T-1000 who can take the shape of whatever it touches. It's made out of liquid metal. It takes the form of a cop who finds him and he goes after John. John Connor was living with foster parents, Todd and Janelle Voight. One afternoon John goes to the galleria. T-1000 chases him and so does the good Terminator. John races out of the galleria on his mini-bike. T-1000 steals an 18-wheeler and gives chase with Terminator right behind them. The result is: Terminator rescues John just as T-1000's truck crashes and explodes, but that doesn't kill them. John and Terminator chat for a bit and John learns what is up. He wants to go get his mother Sarah.

Sarah Connor had been committed to a maximum security facility where Dr. Silberman from the first movie works. She was thrown in there for her violent nature. She tries to warn everybody that August 29, 1997 will bring the deaths of 3 billion people because that's when the nuclear holocaust will occur, thus Judgment Day. But nobody believes her. John tries to teach Terminator that killing people is wrong so he tries to reframe from it. The two go to get Sarah, who made her violent escape that night. T-1000 arrives then. Sarah meets up with Terminator and John and they run from T-1000. They luckily escape and the bullet holes T-1000 sustains simply seal up. Sarah was angry with John for risking his life to save her. They had to get out of the city and quick! Sarah told them to head south. She also wanted to know who was responsible for SkyNet, the computer operation system that starts the nuclear war. Terminator tells her it's Miles Dyson, the head of Cyberdine Systems that will soon create a CPU microprocessor chip that, once placed in stealth bombers, will be able to operate unmanned, thus resulting in ultra-smart computers and the end of mankind as we know it. At Cyberdine, they had the remains of the first Terminator: his metallic arm and his CPU chip. They soon arrive at some old friends' of Sarah's. They acquire weapons and a new truck. Sarah heads back to town to kill Miles Dyson to prevent the war. John and Terminator race after her. Sarah nearly kills him but she soon calms down. John and Terminator arrive and the whole thing is spelled out for Dyson. He helps them prevent everything so they go to Cyberdine and plan to destroy the office. The police and T-1000 try to complicate things. Poor Dyson is shot by the police and the office is successfully blown up. T-1000 steals a police helicopter and chases Terminator and the Connors in a S.W.A.T truck. Soon both their vehicles crash and blow up. T-1000 steals a nitrogen truck while Terminator and the Connors steal a gardening truck.

They soon arrive at a steel mill. The nitrogen truck crashes and spills everywhere, freezing T-1000 and he shatters like glass. But he pulls himself together and engages in a fight with Terminator, deactivating him, but his back-up power enables him to blast T-1000 right into the molten steel vat and melted away. T-1000 was gone forever. John throws the Terminator arm and chip into the steel also. But there was one more chip: Terminator's brain so he had to be destroyed. John was sad to see him go but soon Terminator was lowered into the steel and melted away. So now everything was okay!

Pretty good film. Lot's of action! But there's also lot's of violence and people getting lot's of boo-boos! Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton reprise their old roles. Schwarzenegger is cool and Hamilton is militant, buff and sexy. Robert Patrick plays T-1000. Cool effects! Even for 1991. Get ready for this, Terminator fans, Arnold will be back this summer in Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines! Linda Hamilton and James Cameron won't be back, though. I'm looking forward to it. But anyway, I think the first Terminator was better than Terminator 2. The originals are usually better but anyway, if you're a Schwarzenegger fan and saw the first Terminator, then I recommend Terminator 2: Judgment Day!! After all, he said he'd be back!
