Not a Runaway, But Not Bad Either.
Arnold Schwarzenegger is a prison convict who tries to win his freedom on a
game show in the post-apocalyptic future in this well-made little action
film that never tries to be more than it is. A shotty screenplay is saved by
wild action sequences that will keep the audience on the edge of its seat.
Richard Dawson steals every scene as the game show's host. Look for ex-NFL
star Jim Brown and politician Jesse "The Body" Ventura (!?) in short,
well-calculated roles. 3.5 out of 5 stars.
